The Armor Festival 2025 is exclusively for players born in 2008 and 2009.
Inspired by the “Champions League,” the tournament now follows this game system:
Draw & Qualification Phase:
- Before the tournament, a draw determines each team’s opponents.
- The 16 teams are divided into 2 groups of 8.
- Each team faces 4 opponents from the other group.
- Each team plays 4 matches in the qualification phase.
The draw will take place on March 21st, 2025, at the Kéraudy cultural center in Plougonvelin.
Point System
The following point system will be used during the tournament:
- 3 points per match won
- 1 point per tied match
- 0 points per match lost
In case of a tie in points at the end of the qualification matches, the following criteria will be considered to rank the teams in this order:
- Goal difference (difference between goals scored and conceded)
- Best attack (highest number of goals scored)
- Fair play (disciplinary sanctions):
- Red card: 3 penalty points
- Yellow card: 1 penalty point
- White card: 1 penalty point
- Lowest average age of participating players
Ranking & Final Phase:
- A general ranking is established after the 4 matches.
- The top 4 teams advance to the semi-finals.
- The other teams play ranking matches.
Semi-finals, Final, and Ranking Matches
In case of a tie at the end of the semi-finals, final, and ranking matches, the teams will be decided by shooting at the same goal designated by the referee, a first series of 5 penalty shots taken by 5 different players, chosen from the 11 players on the field at the final whistle.
In case of a new tie after this series, the competition continues in the same order until one team has scored one more goal than the other at the end of the same number of attempts. A player can only attempt a second attempt when their entire team has already taken a first shot.
